Poltech recognises the importance of the regulatory licensing of stacks by the Air Quality Officer appointed in terms of the National Environmental Management Air Quality Act 39 of 2004. Our goal is to provide clients with an understanding of local requirements, while providing technical expertise in preparing licensing applications.
We are familiar with statutory requirements related to air, water and hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as monitoring methods, procedures and suitable engineering control measures.
Prospective operations or processes declared as scheduled (controlled) in terms of the Air Pollution Prevention Act, No. 45 of 1965, must register and receive licenses for all stacks.
Poltech can assist clients in the above process by means of the following services:
– Preparing licensing applications
– Compilation of emissions inventory and air quality plan
– Preparing licensing modifications requested
– Responding to notices of deficiency
– Reviewing applications to ensure high technical administrative quality
– Providing community relation's support
Our professionals can oversee the entire environmental and occupational health process from assessments and investigations to corrective measure studies, designs and implementation.
Poltech can also assist with the planning and development of any required interim remedial measures, as well as manage and document construction activities. Poltech is further able to offer a turnkey service in terms of the drafting of specifications, service and operations manuals and drawings to client's requirements.
Poltech's environmental specialists have the capabilities to complete projects within budget, with minimum down time and disruptions to plant operations.
Poltech can supply:
– cost estimates
– conceptual engineering designs
– final engineering designs, including specifications, drawings, operations- and maintenance manuals.
– technical and economic feasibility analyses
– air and water pollution control equipment and related systems.
As legislation is updated or revised, it may be necessary to retrofit control equipment. Poltech is able to adapt current technologies and new principles to older systems resulting in reduced time, lower costs and increased efficiency.
Poltech can furthermore assist its client with approved suppliers and all aspects of project management from selection through the final commissioning of systems.
